Findings

Here we share how often each of ten significant characters from One Piece is mentioned across all SBS sections in the volumes we studied in this project.

Answering Our Research Questions

• Who gets mentioned the most? Luffy leads with the highest number of mentions, followed closely by Zoro, Sanji, and Nami.
• Do fans ask about side characters? Absolutely. Characters like Buggy, Vivi, Chopper, and even Shanks appear regularly in fan questions, showing wide interest beyond the main crew.
• Do character mentions change over time? Yes, we noticed patterns where some characters are heavily asked about early in the manga, while others rise in popularity in later volumes.
